Science Fair Exhibition 2025 – A Celebration of Curiosity and Innovation
September 26, 2025The Personal Project and Community Project showcase is an important moment in the IB Middle Years Programme. It celebrates student learning and, more importantly, makes the process visible. These projects represent the culmination of inquiry, skill development, and personal growth across several years of learning.
The Personal Project allows students to pursue an area of genuine interest. Through independent inquiry, students plan, research, create, and reflect. In doing so, they develop self-management, critical thinking, and communication skills that prepare them for future academic challenges. The showcase provides students with an authentic platform to articulate their learning journey and demonstrate ownership of their work.
The Community Project extends learning beyond the classroom. Students collaborate to identify real needs, take responsible action, and engage with local or global communities. Presenting this work reinforces the value of service learning and highlights how students can create meaningful impact through thoughtful action.
At ISS, we combine the Personal Project and Community Project showcase with CAS. This creates a rich and cohesive exhibition that clearly demonstrates the continuity of the IB programme. Visitors can see how inquiry, creativity, activity, and service are developed progressively, linking MYP learning with the skills and mindsets required in the Diploma Programme.
Congratulations to all students for their commitment, resilience, and achievements. You should be extremely proud of the work you have produced. A sincere thank you to the supervisors for their guidance, support, and dedication throughout the process. We also thank the parents, friends, and family who joined us to celebrate this learning. Students value the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences, and your presence makes these moments even more meaningful. You have all made us very proud.
