In a powerful demonstration of unity, purpose, and scientific curiosity, our ISS Science Team recently joined hands with the Science Team from International School Nadi for an inspiring Collaborative Science Project—one that blended environmental action with inter-school connection.
Over the course of three impactful days, students from both schools worked side by side, beginning with a beach cleanup at the local park. This was not just a practical task—it was a mission. Armed with gloves, trash bags, and determination, the students collected debris, catalogued their findings, and reflected on the human footprint left behind on our coastlines.
But the cleanup was just the beginning. The materials collected became part of hands-on environmental science projects. Students explored ways to repurpose waste, examined the types of pollutants most prevalent in coastal areas, and discussed sustainable solutions that could help reduce future pollution. This real-world learning experience encouraged critical thinking and inspired creative environmental action.
Beyond the science, however, something equally valuable happened: connection. Students formed friendships, shared stories, exchanged ideas, and discovered a shared passion for sustainability and science. Whether working in mixed teams on experiments or discussing environmental challenges over lunch, collaboration was at the heart of every moment.
This initiative not only strengthened bonds between our two schools but also reminded us that when we work together, we can achieve so much more.
A heartfelt thank you to the students, teachers, and support staff from both ISS and International School Nadi. Your energy, commitment, and shared purpose made this project a success—and a shining example of what’s possible when young minds unite for a better tomorrow.
Let’s continue to lead, inspire, and protect our environment—together. 💡✨
